We are the six parish churches of Aslackby, Billingborough, Dowsby, Horbling, and Pointon with Sempringham — the benefice where St Gilbert, founder of England’s only home-grown religious order, was born. Come along to a service or a coffee morning and introduce yourself — you’ll always be made welcome.
Each of our churches has its own character and its own centuries of history — from a Knights Templar preceptory to the birthplace of a saint. Please come and visit.
Largely 14th century, with an historic connection to the Knights Templar and Knights Hospitaller.
A Grade I listed church with a spire soaring to 150 feet — one of the tallest on the edge of the fens.
The smallest and southernmost of our parishes, set in a pretty churchyard in open countryside.
13th century, Grade I listed, and the church where Michael Ramsey — later Archbishop of Canterbury — was baptised.
Known locally as “The Mission”, built in 1893 and still at the centre of village life.
The birthplace of St Gilbert, founder of the Gilbertine Order — the only religious order ever founded in England.

Like many small communities, we rely entirely on volunteers. We are currently looking for a Treasurer to help manage our finances, and drivers for Linkwell, our local Good Neighbour Scheme, which gives lifts and practical help to people who need it. If you can spare a little time, we’d love to hear from you.
